La Paz, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales called for unity of the country’’s different social sectors for general elections of December 6.
In a large gathering in Batallas town, organized by groups of the elderly, Morales recalled that the proposal of the ruling Movement towards Socialism (MAS) includes professionals, indigenous leaders, women and workers, as a proof of national diversity.
He presented lawyer Hector Arce, who is a candidate for deputy, as well as former ombudswoman Ana Maria Romero and former mayor of Achacachi Eugenio Rojas, future senators, as examples of this integration in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly (the name to be adopted by Congress in 2010).
He also called on the people to march together in the reaffirmation of the process of change started in January 2006.
In this regard, he highlighted the importance of nationalization of hydrocarbon and strategic businesses to increase state income and use these resources to benefit all Bolivians without exclusion.
