Bolivia to Host October ALBA Summit

La Paz, Aug 31 (Prensa Latina) Integration-related issues, including cooperation in health and education, are expected to center debates in the 7th Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the People of Our Americas (ALBA), to be held in Cochabamba, Bolivia, from October 16-17, an official source confirmed.

  Foreign Affairs and Worship Minister David Choquehuanca said the meeting had initially been scheduled for September by President Evo Morales.

He said that the heads of State of the nine ALBA member countries are also expected to discuss complementariness in trade and likelihood of a single currency.

Separate meetings of social movements, small businesspeople and artists from ALBA member countries are also expected to be held as sidelines to the summit, said Choquehuanca.

ALBA members include Ecuador, Venezuela, Cuba, Bolivia, Nicaragua, Dominica, Honduras, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Antigua and Barbuda.
