Education Minister Roberto Aguilar told Prensa Latina that the idea of carrying out this activity on Monday, October 26, is aimed at allowing students attending public schools, so facilitating the one-time handing over of 200 bolivianos ($28 at the current exchange rate).

Aguilar also said the central ceremony would be in La Paz department, in Villa Victoria, and will be attended by Head of State Evo morales, who will turn 50 that day.

The economic aid this year will reach 1,804,800 children and with that objective, the National General Treasury (TGN) has $34 million in funds at its disposal.

He said that with the Juancito Pinto bond, the number of students leaving school before legal age has been reduced in 0.6 percent in the urban area and 0.73 percent in rural populations.
