Post Literacy Project Extolled in Bolivia

La Paz, Nov 18 (Prensa Latina) The postliteracy teaching project Yo Si Puedo Seguir (Yes, I Can Go on) is near to meet the target set for this year in Bolivia, after being joined by about 140,000 participants so far, sources from the Education Ministry revealed on Wednesday.

According to Benito Ayma, national director of the project, there are only 10,000 people left to meet the target, with Cochabamba and La Paz departments excelling.

This postliteracy phase, including 23 lessons to review and enhance reading, writing and understanding skills acquired previously, was inaugurated by President Evo Morales in March. It is expected to reach a million people by 2010.
