SANTA CRUZ, BOLIVIA, Dec 3 (NNN-PRENSA LATINA) – Three days before the general elections in Bolivia, President Evo Morales is now in Santa Cruz to attend the closing of the electoral campaign by the ruling Movement towards Socialism (MAS).

According to organisers at least half million Bolivians from the eastern region are expected to attend the event.

The president will be accompanied by his current Vice President Alvaro Garcia, who completes the ticket of the ruling party for the coming elections.

As part of his campaign, Morales headed a march on Nov 22 through all the Santa Cruz’ constituencies, rated as historic for the mass support of the people as thousands of Bolivians joined him visiting communities never before visited by a president.

The mass concentration of people in every province are just a sign of his awaited electoral win, but the president himself continues to explain to the people the importance of the elections to consolidate the process of change started in Jan 2006.

The last even closing the MAS electoral campaign will be held later today in El Alto, near the government headquarters. — NNN-PRENSA LATINA
