Bolivians in Argentina Prepare to Vote on Sunday

Buenos Aires, Dec 5 (Prensa Latina) Close to 90,000 Bolivians of about 170,000 registered prepare to vote for the first time abroad in the presidential elections of their country this Sunday.

  A report of the Bolivian Embassy in Argentina informs that there are 24 voting centers, 18 in this capital and Gran Argentina (with 340 tables), three in Mendoza province (24 tables) and three in Jujuy (21 tables) the points of greater concentration of Bolivians in this country.

According to local estimates there are about a million persons from that neighboring country that moved to Argentina in search of work and better living conditions. Of these 169,096 registered to vote and about 90,000 will exercise their right.

This means that 53 percent of those who vote abroad will do so in Argentina.

Joined in the labor life in production centers of low salaries Bolivians are characterized by a good level of organization and the majority support the government of Evo Morales and it is expected that they will vote for his reelection.
