Bolivia Defeats USA Interference

La Paz, December 12 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian President Evo Morales defeated US interference in Bolivia”s internal affairs and pointed out that its bilateral relations with Iran responds to a sovereign principle, highlighted El Cambio daily.

  The newspaper quotes Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Hugo Fernandez, who referred to recent US General Secretary Hillary Clinton’s statements about La Paz-Teheran.

The diplomat expressed that he want to make quite clear in talks between Washington and La Paz the non-interference of USA on their internal affairs.

Fernadez reacted to the Clinton’s advise to the Latin American countries about “to flirt” with Iran, which is “a bad idea” to the American official.

Last November, the Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad visited Bolivia and talked with his Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales about a plan for bilateral cooperation.

Iran helped to put up haemodialysis centres, with a value of one million dollar, in Cochabamba y EL Alto cities.

Both countries agreed to investigate and develop the lithium industry, which is located in the Avaroa National Reserve, Uyuni.

Both presidents also opened a dairy plant in Ivirgarzama in Cochabamba department and a second-level hospital in El Alto city, in which Teheran invested 1.2 million dollars.
