Bolivia to Set Up University for Indigenous

La Paz, January 6 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia will set up a university for the young indigenous people from the 34 lowlands.

  The Confederation of Indigenous people of Bolivia (CIDOB) president Adolfo Chavez told to Erbol radio that the institution will be located in Cotoca municipality, in Santa Cruz department.

Chavez pointed out that the school will give special attention to the sport area insofar as Bolivia has a low level in that sphere.

“This center has all international standards and requirements, with capacity for one thousand students”, explained the indigenous leader.

In the meantime, he said that the university want to preserve the 34 lowlands’ languages and will comply with state constitution on educational matters.
