Bolivia plans to buy ten Mi-17 helicopters from Russia.

BUENOS AIRES (BNS): Bolivia is planning to buy ten ‘Mi-17’ helicopters from Russia, which will be used by the law enforcement agencies for combating crime, a local radio Erbol, broadcasted Walker San Miguel, Minister of Defence of South American republic as saying.

Bolivia is also planning to buy 10 cargo helicopters from Russia, in addition with the presidential aircraft An-148 airliner.

The nation will get six combat-capable aircraft K-8 from China under a deal of 57.8 million dollar signed between both countries, which will be used “exclusively for the fight against drug trafficking,” he said.

K-8 – easy double jet aircraft developed jointly by China and India for advanced training, which can be used in operations in support of ground troops.
