La Paz, Feb 7 (Prensa Latina) Bolivian Vice President Alvaro Garcia affirmed Sunday the South American nation and its social organizations favor community socialism, a fairer society based on equity.

In statements to El Pueblo es Noticia program, Garcia explained the current Constitution, which turns one year today, will be the bridge towards that future.

The also president of the Plurinational Legislative Assembly pointed out that the current Constitution is the first one voted by the people since 1825, and it is the structure of a new State being built from the basis.

Only with the administration of President Evo Morales Bolivians have taken part with their votes in decision-making, to strengthen the process of change, he stated.

That is why, Garcia added, the new Constitution defines the long way towards community Socialism.

Bolivia’s challenge is to build a society different from capitalism, which only brings about deaths and destruction on the planet, he stressed.

The community socialism we aspire to is a society with equal opportunities for all, where income benefits the people, with solid relations between authorities and the people.
