Work of Cuban Docs in Bolivia Highlighted

La Paz, Feb 3 (Prensa Latina) The brigade of Cuban internationalist doctors that have been giving their help in Bolivia since 2006 have assisted for free more than 34 million people in four years, highlights Cambio daily on Wednesday.

  The daily states that the professionals saved 30 166 lives in the same period of time.

Cuba donated the equipment for 33 second-level hospitals and 18 eye centers were installed, according to a report of the Cuban embassy that published the daily.

The Cuban doctors arrived to Bolivia on February 2006 to collaborate with the South American nation that was in the grips of climatic battering back then.

Up until now, another of the achievements of that cooperation is Operation Miracle, which has returned the sight to 486 992 people among Bolivians, Paraguayans, Peruvians, Argentineans and Brazilians.
