Bolivian President Meets Cuban Vice President

Cochabamba, Bolivia, Apr 22 (Prensa Latina) Bolivia’s Head of States Evo Morales met on Thursday in this city with Cuba’s Council of State Vice President Esteban Lazo, invited to the First World Peoples’ Conference on Climate Change. During the fraternal meeting at the Regina Hotel in the locality of Tiquipaya, 9.3 miles of Cochabamba, also attended by Cuban ambassador Rafael Dausa, both leaders ratified the existing solid relations of friendship and cooperation to foster the process of change.

Morales and Lazo Hernandez talked extensively about the summit on climate change and results of the island’s collaboration in health and education, as well as the Moto Mendez solidarity mission, a study on people with disability.

The also member of the Cuban Communist Party Political Bureau also told Morales about the support physicians from his country, Venezuela, Bolivia and other nations are giving to thousands of victims of an earthquake that shook Haiti on January 12.

Lazo Hernandez will participate today in the panel on government-people dialogue, which urgently seeks to save the Planet Earth.

The almost 20,000 delegates attending the climate summit will meet at the end of the world forum, to celebrate the International Mother Earth Day at the Felix Capriles Stadium.

Before returning to his country, the visitor expects to meet with representatives of the medical, education, and social workers missions at the Valle Hermoso Hospital, in Cochabamba.

The Cuban leader arrived in the “Jorge Wilstermann” International Airport in Cochabamba, and received military honors from Los Colorados Regiment.
