Bolivia, South Africa to Tighten Ties

47La Paz, Jun 13 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivian President Evo Moralesâ�Ös visit to South Africa for the World Cup opening ceremony allow to consolidate bilateral ties, media sources highlighted Sunday.

  According to Cambio daily, Morales met in Johannesburg on Saturday with African Vice-President Kgalema Motlanthe, who asked to strengthen trade and diplomatic ties.

Morales promised that Minister of Foregn Affairs David Choquehuanca will Sooth shortly to boost the rapprochement process, the newspare stated.

Motlanthe showed his support to Bolivia and its more recent constitutional reforms.

Motlanthe visited La Paz in 2009 leading a government delegation and was interested in the necessary diplomatic and cooperative ties.

Morales also met with 74-year-old Anglican Archbishop Desmond Tutu, one of the emblematic figures of the struggle against racial discrimination, awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1984.
