Bolivia congratulates Uruguay for brilliant performance at World Cup

The Bolivian government congratulated the Uruguayan national soccer team for its “brilliant” performance at the World Cup of South Africa 2010, where it achieved the fourth place.

Bolivian president Evo Morales watched the soccer match of Uruguay vs Germany on Saturday at his house.

Morales told the press that the Uruguayan team played with dignity in all the World Cup and Diego Forlan was the best player of South Africa 2010.

Morales regretted the Uruguayan team not to be at the final and added that “it missed good luck to get the third place, a team of battles, well coached, deserves my respects and admiration. That is why I congratulate the coach of the Uruguayan team, to all the people of that country and their President Jose Mujica.”

Forlan scored the second goal against Germany and failed one at the last minute of the match, which could have led the match to extra time, Morales said.

Morales added that for me “the best player of the World Cup was Forlan, and the best player of the world continues being (Argentine player Lionel) Messi.”
