Bolivia Condemns US Blockade on Cuba

La Paz, Oct 26 (Prensa Latina) The Bolivian Movement of Solidarity with Cuba condemned on Monday the economic, trade and financial blockade, that Washington imposes on Havana for the last 50 years.

  Next Wednesday, the UN General Assembly will discuss for the 18th time a resolution entitled “Necessity to put an end to the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba”, remembers the solidarity organization.

The text pointed out that since 1992 the US blockade against Cuba has been increasingly condemned by the UN members, last year 185 states were against it, the highest recorded yet.

It also criticized that since 1992 the Cuban people has suffered every kind of aggression from the US and its followers.

The blockade is the biggest expression of those attacks. It provokes many sufferings and affectation estimated at more than 200 billion dollar, said the text. The Bolivian solidarity organizations condemn that hostile measure and also support the Cuban people, which an example of unconditional cooperation with that South American country and Evo Morales government in important spheres such as health and education.
