NASA Scientist to Attend Bolivia Climate Conference

La Paz, Mar 31 (Prensa Latina) The scientist of the U.S. Space Agency (NASA) Jim Hansen confirmed he will travel to Bolivia to attend the forthcoming World Conference on Climate Change, reported today the organizers.

  Hansen is one of many special guests to the Summit, that according to organizers, already have the confirmation of the Uruguayan writer Eduardo Galeano and the actor and director Danny Glover, among others.

It was also reported the assistance of environmental reporter and leader of 350 organizations, Bill McKibben, the Indian environmentalist Vandana Shiva, and the president of the General Assembly of the United Nations, Miguel D Escoto.

They will join a number of leading organizations in defense of the environment and in the fight against climate change, that will meet in Cochabamba (center) between next 19 and 22 April.

At the meeting, dedicated also to defend the rights of Mother Earth, we expect about 10 thousand guests, among governments and representatives of more than 50 countries.

The Summit aims to promote concrete actions for the protection of the environment, after the failure of the meeting on the subject held in December in Copenhagen, Denmark.
